Zusammenfassung:	An electro-pneumatic brake system having a pair of brake applications electro-pneumatic devices (6,7) and a pair of brake-release electro-pneumatic devices (9,10) each of which devices is connected to an electrical circuit (3/4/5) whereby electrical control signals can be supplied to the devices thereby to control the pneumatic throughput of the devices, one device (6,9) of each pair having a larger pneumatic throughput than the other device (7,10) of each pair, the pneumatic capacities of the devices serving to determine rate of change of the pressure in a brake cylinder (21).
