Minute volume rate-responsive pacemaker

The present invention provides a rate-responsive packmaker (10-28) whose rate control parameter is minute volume derived over a bipolar lead (10, 12). An algorithm based on averaged samples and zero crossings provides enhanced accuracy. Sustained exercise at high pacing rates is possible.
