Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a motor vehicle having a door or folding lid which can be supported on the vehicle body (1) so as to be swivellably moveable by means of hinges, in particular to a passenger vehicle having a rear wall folding lid (3) which can be coupled in the roof region (2) to the vehicle body (1). In order to be able to support doors or folding lids in a reliably swivellable manner on the vehicle body, in particular without substantial adverse effects on the headroom within the passenger compartment and without disadvantageous effects on the aerodynamic properties, the vehicle body (1) comprises a shaped recess (7) on the outside in the roof region (2) for the countersunk arrangement of at least one hinge component (8, 9). Furthermore, the shaped recess (7) and the hinge component (8, 9) arranged in a countersunk fashion can be covered by means of a panel (12).
