Zusammenfassung: | In a process for making clad hot-rolled strip, a steel slab is provided with a coating of a corrosion-resistant material and the resulting composite is then hot-rolled.
The invention comprises the following measures:
a) the steel slab used is a low-alloy steel (base material) having a carbon content of up to 0.25% by weight,
b) the coating materials used are stainless, in particular stainless austenitic steels and nickel-based wrought alloys,
c) the steel slab and the coating material are mutually joined by explosive cladding,
d) the composite body produced is heated to the rolling temperature,
e) the composite body heated to the rolling temperature is pre-rolled on a hot-rolling mill with a high reduction per pass of phi > 0.10 to a quarter of the initial thickness and then finish-rolled to the final hot-rolled strip thickness,
f) the final rolling temperature being in the region above 900 DEG C. |
