Zusammenfassung:	A test stand for motor vehicles which has an eddy current brake (19) is proposed, in which the electric energy for exciting the eddy current brake is produced by a dynamo (22) which is driven by the engine of the motor vehicle to be tested. The drive device (17) of the dynamo (22) is realised as a V-belt drive between the shaft (16) of a load roller (12) and the dynamo (22). The electric auxiliary energy required for exciting the dynamo (22) and for operating an electronic central unit (25) can be applied by a low-capacitance battery which is re-charged by the dynamo (22).
