Zusammenfassung:	Streptomyces parvullus, DSM 3816, und Streptomyces spec. DSM 4137 produzieren in aerober Fermentation Elaiophylin, das sich durch eine anthelminthische Wirkung auszeichnet. In a process for the prodn. of elaiophylic (I), Streptomyces parvullus DSM 3816 or its variants or mutants and/or Streptomyces sp. DSM4137 or its variants or mutants is/are cultivated in a nutrient medium until (I) accumulates in the medium, and the resulting (I) is opt. subsequently isolated. Also new are (1) the use of (I) for the prodn. of anthelmintics, (2) the use of (I) for combatting gastrointestinal strongylids and lungworms, and (3) veterinary medicaments contg. or consisting of (I).
