Zusammenfassung:The invention provides an assembly (10) for fastening a flexible membrane (11) to a layer of insulation (12) on a roof deck (13), comprising a plastic disc (25) and a threaded screw (15) which, when tightened, clamps the disc (25) to the membrane (11). Angularly spaced pins (40) are formed integrally with and depend from the underside of the disc (25) and bite into the membrane (11) to help prevent edgewise tearing of the membrane (11) when wind uplift forces are exerted on the membrane (11). The pins (40) preferably are formed between the ends of radially extending and angularly spaced ribs (27) which depend from the underside of the disc (25) to resist upward flexing of the disc (25). Beneficially the periphery of the disc (25) is formed with a sharp edge (47) which also bites into the membrane (11).
