Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and an assay combination for detecting fibrin monomers in human blood. In this method, venous blood is first mixed with an anticoagulant in a known manner, and the blood plasma which is obtained after centrifugation is treated according to the invention with an antibiotic of the pyrrolamidine series as precipitant, in particular with netropsin, distamycin and/or anthelvencin. The sample is allowed to stand and then centrifuged, and the sedimented precipitate is assessed in a manner known per se. Corresponding assay combinations contain the precipitant and a buffer, preferably HEPES.
