METHOD FOR TREATING AIR-COOLING SYSTEM'S AQUEOUS MEDIUM

Recirculating water used in closed cycle air-conditioning systems is treated with a 3-chloro-2-oxazolidinone derivative, e.g., 3-chloro-4,4-di(C1-C4)alkyl-2-oxazolidinones such as 3-chloro-4,4-dimethyl-2-oxazolidinone, to prevent the growth of Legionella pneumophilia therein.
