Zusammenfassung:A rotary latching solenoid has a permanent magnet (78) and causes flux flow between opposing faces of an armature (22) and a base (50) to hold the armature in a latched position. The pole faces of the armature and base have raised sectors (30, 58) and each sector has a pole face (32, 60). In a latched position, the sector faces of the armature and base are adjacent to each other. An end cap (40) is positioned between the permanent magnet (78) and coil (18) and provides a flux path for the coil and magnet.
