Zusammenfassung:	Process for the preparation of an N-vinyl-N-alkylamine (co) polymer by acid hydrolysis of a corresponding N-vinyl-N-alkyl carbonamide chain units containing polymer at elevated temperature. As starting substance is used: may represent H or an C1-5 alkyl group. The hydrolysis is carried out at an acid equivalent/hydrolysable monomer molar ratio in the range of 1,0-5,0 and an acid normality in the range of 1,0 - 5,0. The invention also concerns a semipermeable composite membrane obtained with use of the polymer obtained according the process of the invention.
