Zusammenfassung:For a magnetic head having a core comprising two half cores, the half cores being made up of a plurality of soft-magnetic layers insulated from one another, and having core supports which are arranged in each case on both sides of the half cores to support them, it is proposed to make the core supports of soft-magnetic material and to avoid magnetic shunts in the gap area by using non-magnetic materials there. As a result, it is unimportant in the production of the magnetic heads whether the half cores are exactly congruent or not, even in the area of magnetic return.
