Zusammenfassung: | In a known lanced strip a disadvantageous feature is that greater forces are required to effect edgewise deformation in a lanced strip due to nonuniformity of the cross-sectional areas of segments in a yoke section of the lanced strip. This problem is solved by the lanced strip (5A, 5B, 501, 561) of generally thin ferromagnetic material which has a continuous yoke section (7) extending generally lengthwise thereof. A plurality of teeth (9) on the lanced strip (5A, 5B, 501, 561) are aligned generally about a plurality of pitch axii therefor and extend generally laterally from the yoke section (7). A plurality of slots (11) extend through the lanced strip (5A, 5B, 501, 561) between adjacent ones of the teeth (9). The yoke section (7) includes a plurality of sets of generally arcuate inner and outer edges, the arcuate inner edges extend between the adjacent ones of the teeth (9) thereby to define closed ends of the slots (11) and adjacent ones of the arcuate outer edges intersect with each other at the pitch axii of the teeth (9). |
