Zusammenfassung:	New Omega-(2 min , 4 min -dihalobiphenylyl)-oxo alkanoic acids are prepared by reacting a 2,4-dihalobiphenyl with the anhydride of methylsuccinic or glutaric acid under conditions of Friedel-Crafts acylation. The new compounds show remarkable antiinflammatory properties with unexpectedly prolonged duration of the effect.
