Fuelmixture-preheater

The invention relates to a device (1) to pre-heat a fuel mixture in an intake manifold (12) of a combustion engine, said device consisting of a cylindrical body (3) having a side wall (5) and a bottom (4), provided in the wall of the intake manifold, said body being arranged on an electro- and heat insulating contact bearer (2) and which is secured on the intake manifold in an electro- and heat conducting way by means of a securing structure (10) the bottom of said body being provided with PTC pills (6) which are connected to a current conductor (9) and which are secured on the bottom in an electro- and heat conducting way. The bottom has such a thickness and shape that during pre-heating the fuel mixture a homogenous heat conduction is created, the side wall (5) having securing means (10) to secure the pre-heater, and wherein it has such a thickness that together with the securing means it provides the required heat resistance upon heat transfer from and to the intake manifold.
