Zusammenfassung:	In order to avoid actuating separately the two coaxial shafts pertaining to chain wheels, which shafts are arranged on different sides of a building opening to be closed with slats, there is proposed to arrange the two chain wheels (146) on a single horizontal transverse shaft (172), arranged in the opening and to position upwardly the chains (124) for the suspension and the actuation of the slats up to the deviation points (152). As a result, the chain wheels have to be arranged under the deviation points thereby enabling the reversible and separate guiding of the slats upon the upper edge of the opening and the front end of a building cavity (132) susceptible of containing the horizontally piled slats and which is provided behind the upper edge of the opening. The shafts (172) of the chain wheels may be arranged ahead of the opening plane at any height, and also behind said plane at a minimum distance from the top of the cavity (180) corresponding to the height of the slat.
