Zusammenfassung: | Process for the purification of a binary or multiple mixture composed essentially of two constituents A and B, A being the substance to be purified and B being the principal impurity which is immiscible or practically immiscible with A, the said mixture exhibiting in the case of a known temperature interval a two-phase region comprising a first phase consisting of practically pure substance A and a second phase consisting of a single-phase mixture of A and B enriched in B when compared with the starting mixture or consisting of practically pure B, these 2 phases being in a different physical state, the said process being characterised in that it comprises the following 2 stages: 1) the mixture is taken into the said temperature range; 2) the impurities are extracted by employing at least one solvent for the impurities and/or for the single-phase mixture of A and B enriched in B. Application of the process to the purification of sodium containing traces of caesium, lithium or potassium.
