DISCHARGE DOOR FOR GABLE-BOTTOM RAILWAY HOPPER WAGON

Discharge flap (1) for railway saddle-bottom selfdischarging wagons, which is pivotably secured at its upper longitudinal side by means of hinge-type articulations (2) to the wagon body (3) of the self-discharging wagon, and which in the closing position abuts with its inner side at the top and near to its longitudinal ends in sealing-tight manner against the frame of the discharge aperture of the self-discharging wagon and, at the bottom region, in sealing-tight manner against the lower end of the saddle bottom (4), the discharge flap (1) being operatable by means of link rods (6) pivotably attached to its longitudinal ends, and a longitudinal support member (7) resistant to bending and torsional forces being arranged between the articulations (5) of the link rods (6) in the discharge flap (1), with a spacing from the lower end of the discharge flap (1), characterized in that the payload space narrows in the region of a projection (7a) of the longitudinal support member (7), said projection projecting towards the saddle bottom, and that the lower end of the discharge flap (1) is constructed as a lip-form elastic sealing abutment element (8).
