Zusammenfassung:A tape closure which is adhesively adhered about a pour opening 15 on the exterior surface of a can end 12 having a protective polymeric layer 20 over the metallic can end which is adhered to the tape adhesive 26 with a bond greater than the bond between the layer and the supporting surface therefor affording removal of the layer 20 upon breaking the layer 20 and delaminating the same from the support surface 19 upon removal of the tape.
