DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LOOSENING THE LAUNDRY FROM THE DRUM WALL AFTER CENTRIFUGAL ACTION

To loosen the laundry which remains attached to the drum casing of a washing machine or a centrifuge as a result of the high centrifugal forces required for water extraction, there is a vibrating drive which exerts acceleration forces on the drum. Such a vibrating drive consists of an electric motor (30) which is attached to two brackets (22, 23) fastened to existing cross members (12) and of an imbalance mass (34) mounted rotatably in the brackets (22, 23). The vibrations have no adverse affect on the machines, since these are exposed to relatively high imbalances. This accessory can be mounted on any existing machine, is cheap and needs no expensive seals for overpressures or underpressures.
