Zusammenfassung:	The apparatus is movable over a surface already covered with paving elements and can be used to lay each set of paving elements outside the already covered surface so as to adjoin the latter. The apparatus has a loading face for at least one storage stack of paving element sets and a depositing device for laying in each case a seized paving element set. Provision is made for an advancing beam situated transversely with respect to the working direction of the apparatus which can be moved forwards and backwards relative to the apparatus in the working direction of the apparatus by means of a drive, and on its backward movement is supported on the edge of already laid paving elements running transversely with respect to the working direction, so that the apparatus with its depositing device is drawn over the respective following laying location.
