Zusammenfassung:Dental hygiene compositions are indicated which contain, as an antiplaque/antiseptic/deodorizing active ingredient, a highly pure alkali metal dodecyl (lauryl) sulphate substantially free from non-lauryl alkyl salts. It is considered that the anti-microbial activity of the highly pure alkali metal dodecyl sulphate is considerably greater than the corresponding impure salt, and it is this fact which makes it effective against microorganisms responsible for the formation of dental plaque in the human mouth.
