Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	The carcass of the used tyres includes not only rubber parts (5, 6) and reinforcing materials (4) but also bead cores (1-3), in the form of steel cable rings, arranged in the tyre beads. To recover the bead cores for re-use in new pneumatic tyres, the carcass parts of the tyre beads containing the bead core are separated from the used tyre and, after mechanical removal of the reinforcing materials (4) and the majority of the rubber parts (5, 6), the rubber surround remaining on the bead core is detached chemically or electrotechnically, after which the surface of the bead cores is cleaned and the surface of the cleaned bead cores is chemically or galvanically treated. If appropriate, the outermost wire layer (3) of the bead cores is removed and replaced by a new wire layer. The electrotechnical treatment comprises electrically heating up the separated bead parts.
