Method for the preparation of 1,2-dichlorethane
Virtually vinylchloride-free 1,2-dichloroethane is prepared by reaction of ethylene and chlorine in a solvent in which addition of catalyst is usually customary per se, by reacting chlorine and ethylene in a solvent at elevated temperature without addition of a catalyst.
