The supply head has a supply head base (6) and a manipulation device (7) that is rotatable around 90 degrees relative to the head base. The manipulation device has a film storage (11) for storing a film section (13) for a covering process. The base has a film drive device (8) for supplying the film to the manipulation device. The manipulation device has a film welding device for welding an end of the film section. An independent claim is also included for a method for wrapping a goods stack with a film.
