1350816 Dioxocyclohexane carboxylic and thiocarboxylic acid anilides FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 9 Aug 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 37398/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds of the general Formula I wherein X is oxygen or sulphur; R 1 is halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or C 1-4 halogeno-alkoxy and if X is sulphur, R 1 may be hydrogen, and R 2 is hydrogen or the substituents for R 1 , may be prepared by reacting cyclohexane-1,3-dione with an appropriately substituted phenyl isocyanate or phenyl isothiocyanate or with a corresponding compound capable of forming isocyanate or isothiocyanate. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compounds I are effective against intestinal worms, helminths and flukes, and also show antimycotic properties when administered parenterally or orally, or topically respectively with the usual excipients.
