Production of items with improved strength properties is ensured by cold rolling of round billet in multi-roll pass formed by rolls with smooth barrel rotating in one plane, with degree of deformation leading to complete filling of gauge, followed by alternating-sign deformation in the direction of the diagonal plane passing through each rib of the profile, and then each of its face is subjected to treatment with cylindrical strikers performing simultaneously rotary around its axis and impact reciprocating motion.EFFECT: invention can be used for production of metal shaped profiles.1 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
