METHOD AND SYSTEM OF EFFECTING TRANSACTIONS USING REVERSAL MECHANISM

The present invention relates to a method and a system for effecting transactions using a reversal mechanism. The technical result is broadening of functional capabilities of self-service devices (SD) by implementation of a reversal mechanism in processing of transaction requests, which widens automated scenarios of effecting transactions in case of impossibility to dispense the requested money sum. Disclosed is a method of effecting transactions using a partial reversal mechanism including the steps of receiving, in the self-service device (SD) channel, the user's request to perform a transaction for dispensing money, the request containing at least the amount of money; analyzing the request and checking whether it is possible to effect the requested money-dispensing transaction; transferring information about the transaction from the SD to the remote server to activate the reversal control mechanism that performs a full or partial reversal; performing the initial attempt to complete the transaction that includes checking the availability of the requested money sum in the SD; determining the deviation in the money sum available for dispensing in the SD; determining the amount of money available for dispensing in the SD, and activating the partial reversal during which another attempt is initiated to complete the transaction with dispensing a lesser amount of money, or activating the full reversal during which another attempt is initiated to complete the transaction with dispensing a greater amount of money; receiving the user's input in response to performing the transaction according to the activated reversal mode, and carrying out the transaction depending on said activated reversal mode.
