Fremgangsmåde samt apparat til behandling af halmballer med ludningsmidler, fortrinsvis ammoniak

A method is described, in which straw bales 1 are treated with alkaline steeping agents. The said alkaline steeping agents are introduced into the bale by means of hollow injection spikes 9 whilst the bales 1 are supported by a tractor-borne bale loading implement 2 in the form of a bale grab. The injection spikes 9 are pressed into the bales 1 by means of a power element 7 in the form of a hydraulic cylinder, which sets up an oscillation between the bale grab 2 and a front loading frame 3, which is mounted on a tractor (not shown). Actuating the hydraulic cylinder not only sets up an oscillatory movement between the bale grab 2 and the front loading frame 3, but also a relative movement between the bale grab 2 with the bales 1 arranged therein and the injection spikes 9. Since the injection spikes 9 are only inserted into the bales 1 after these have been grabbed and held in the bale grab, an especially reliable introduction of the injection spikes 9 is achieved.
