Zusammenfassung:	The invention concerns a process for hydrophobation of materials for microbacteria-retaining air filters which are preferentially used for blood transfusion and therapy by infusions. Fluorocarbons or their compounds are used for surface coating of filter materials, the contacting of which are effected either by spraying or by immersion. During these procedures, the hydrophobating agent can be in the form of either a solution, emulsion, or in pure form.
