KIRURGISK INSTRUMENT

A surgical instrument for attaching linear sutures of staple clips comprises a body 1 with a closed rectangular frame 2, side pieces 30, 31 each of which has a groove 45, 46 located on the inward-facing surface of the side pieces close to an adjoining end piece 3, and in which the axis of the said groove is parallel to the side pieces 30, 31; a matrix 4 with recesses 4', the matrix being fixed to the end piece 3 of the frame 2, and where the outermost recesses 49, 50 of the matrix 4 lie inside the grooves 45, 46 in the side pieces 30, 31 of the frame 2; a staple head 5 inserted in the body 1; a removable staple clip magazine 9 with a plurality of staple clip slots 10, the magazine being designed to be placed with the parts having the outer staple clip slots 53, 54 in the grooves 45, 46; a staple clip ejector 11 and means of actuation 23, 26 for the clip head and ejector 11 respectively.
