Zusammenfassung:This embodiment relates to a production method for matching the shape of a refractive index distribution of a core matrix with an ideal curve in a short time and with high accuracy. Prior to a glass synthesis step for layering a plurality of glass layers including a predetermined amount of a refractive index adjustment agent on an inner circumferential surface or on an outer circumferential surface of an object targeted for glass deposition, glass synthesis actual-result data is created from production condition data of a glass matrix produced in the past and refractive index distribution data of a core matrix obtained from the glass matrix. In each glass synthesis section where the glass synthesis step is executed, the amount of the refractive index adjustment agent added is adjusted on the basis of the glass synthesis actual-result data.
