Zusammenfassung:	A process for the preparation of a 2-cyanoamino-pyrimidine of the formula in which R1 is hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted alkoxy, R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen, and R3 is hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted alkoxy, comprising reacting a 2-alkylsulphonyl-pyrimidine of the formula in which R4 is optionally substituted alkyl, with cyanamide or with a metal salt of cyanamide at a temperature between 0 DEG and 150 DEG C.
