The present invention is concerned with plant and animal derived pharmaceutically useful compositions. In particular, it relates to for use in treating and/or preventing lymphedema, wherein said composition comprises: i) Aranea diadematus D6 dilution; ii) Calcium phosphoricum D12 dilution; iii) Equisetum hiemale D4 ex herba re dilution; iv) Ferrum jodatum D12 dilution; v) Fumaria officinalis D4 dilution; vi) Gentiana lutea D5 dilution; vii) Geranium robertianum D4 dilution; viii) Levothyroxinum D12 dilution; ix) Myosotis arvensis D3 dilution;x) Nasturtium officinale D4 dilution; xi) Natrium sulfuricum D4 dilution; xii) Pinus silvestris D4 dilution; xiii) Sarsaparillae radix D6 dilution; xiv) Scrophularia nodosa D3 dilution; xv) Teucrium scorodonia D3 dilution; and xvi) Veronica officinalis D3 dilution, and wherein said composition to be administered provides the composition in an amount corresponding to the amount provided by at least about 0.125 to 0.25 ml per kg body weight of the subject to be treated every other day. Contemplated is also a medicament comprising said composition as well as a method for treating and/or preventing lymphedema in a subject suffering therefrom, said method comprises administering in a therapeutically effective amount to the said subject a composition.
