Zusammenfassung:	A device (2, 80) for supporting a heat transfer plate (46) between two end plates (66, 68) in a plate heat exchanger (64), and a heat transfer plate fitted with such a device, are provided. The device comprises first means (10, 12, 14, 30, 32, 34, 88, 90) for achieving engagement between the heat transfer plate and the device and second means (36, 78, 86) for engagement with a bar (70, 72) extending between the two end plates. The device is characterized in that it at least partly is made of a polymeric material.
