Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to processes for pre-treating cellulosic material and processes for improving hydrolysis thereof. In particular, cellulosic material such as woody biomass is contacted with one or more enzymes in a re-pulping step. The cellulosic material is then contacted with one or more enzymes to improve hydrolysis of the cellulosic material. The hydrolysis is also enzymatically enhanced by use of an amylase and/or mannanase.
