Zusammenfassung:Laser welding of two plastic components comprises contacting the components (a) and (b) at least in the joining area, where component (b) is facing away from the laser radiation consists of a plastic matrix with a white pigmentation of at least 0.5 wt.% to not > 20 wt.%, and component (a) is facing the laser radiation, through which a laser beam (2) passing in the welding process, exhibits a plastic matrix. A laser wavelength of 1200-2200 nm is used for welding, where a path length of the laser beam through the component (a) facing the laser radiation is not > 10 mm. Laser welding of two plastic components comprises contacting the components (a) and (b) at least in the joining area, where component (b) is facing away from the laser radiation consists of a plastic matrix with a white pigmentation of at least 0.5 wt.% to not > 20 wt.%, and component (a) is facing the laser radiation, through which a laser beam (2) passing in the welding process, exhibits a plastic matrix. A laser wavelength of 1200-2200 nm is used for welding, where a path length of the laser beam through the component (a) facing the laser radiation is not > 10 mm, regardless of whether the component (a) is pigmented or unpigmented. A white pigmentation of the component (a) facing the laser radiation is 1.25 wt.%, and the product of the path length of the laser beam through the component (a) facing the laser radiation is not > 1 mm.
