Zusammenfassung:	A hydro-kinetic energy converter (2) configured to be submerged into and operated in water (14) is disclosed. The hydro-kinetic energy converter (2) comprises: - a first tether (8) constituting a closed loop that is movably arranged between a first pulley (10) and a second pulley (10'); - one or more hydrofoils (4) fixed to the first tether (8) and - an energy transfer unit (8', 18) configured to transfer kinetic energy from one of the pulleys (10, 10). One or more of the one or more hydrofoils (4) comprise a body portion that is fixed to the first tether (8) by means of an attachment structure (22) that is rotatably attached to the body portion so that the body portion is allowed to rotate with respect to its yaw axis (Y).
