Zusammenfassung:	The facility has a shelf operating device (1) for loading and unloading a shelf. A conveying technique is used for moving and discharging goods (W) in storage bars (2). A transfer station (U) is provided such that the goods are moved to the bars. The device is formed to receive/deliver empty or full bars from/to the station, respectively. The device is provided as a holder with gripping units (10), which grip the bars during movement between the station and the shelf. The operating device has storage areas (14) to permit transfer of the empty bars between gripping devices (13) of the units. An independent claim is also included for a method for loading and unloading of shelving storage facility for hanging goods.
