Zusammenfassung:In order to increase the density of a detergent with a reduced phosphate content and a content of (A) 4 to 20% by weight of at least one anionic surfactant, (B) 2 to 20% by weight of at least one nonionic surfactant, (C) 20 to 50% by weight of at least one builder substance, (D) 3 to 25% by weight of alkalis, (E) 0 to 30% by weight of other detergent components amenable to hot spray drying, initially a powder which contains only a part, but at most 5% by weight, of the nonionic surfactant, and has a bulk density of at least 350 g/litre is produced by spray drying. The powder is then introduced continuously into a cylindrical, horizontally arranged mixing drum in which a shaft which is equipped with radially arranged beating implements of defined length rotates axially. The speed of rotation of the shaft is controlled so that at an average residence time of the powder in the drum of 10 to 60 sec, and a constant powder throughput the Froude number is between 50 and 1000. At the same time, the remaining non-ionic surfactant is introduced in liquid form into the mixer.
