The switchgear has a pushbutton-actuated rocker (4) including switching contacts (6, 7) and a switching spring (20) acting on the rocker. The rocker acts as bi-stable rocker or a mono-stable rocker, depending on changeable switching spring positions (21`, 21``), where the change of the spring positions is controlled in a pushbutton actuated direction of a rocker support (5). The switching spring, which is directly operated in one of two fixed positions, is changeable for changing a switching position of a front end area of the spring in an actuation direction.
