Zusammenfassung: | 1511952 Housing for electrical component assemblies SIEMENS AG 16 March 1976 [26 May 1975] 10422/76 Heading H1R A box-shaped housing for electrical quipment used in telecommunications and measurement comprises (Fig.) 1 end-walls 1 interconnected by elongate members 2, the end-walls comprising a smooth faced side-wall la with two extensions 1b at right angles thereto forming part of elongate members 2, and transverselly ribbed for stiffening and heat dissipation. The end-walls may also be ribbed. Members 2 are also ribbed for stiffening and cooling and may be be cut from an extruded bar of the required profile. The elongate members and the end-wall extensions are joined at 3 by soldering, welding and clamping for electromagnetic screening. Profiled rails 4 are mounted within the hosuing to receive componentry and their contacts, e.g. by plug in connections; having T-section grooves 5 receiving slidable nuts 7 (Fig. 2) co-operating with screws 6 securing a component base 8. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) similarly profiled extruded end members engage elongate members containing plural internal cavities, and are formed with longitudinal T-section grooves to retain screw fixing members for movable transverse rails also with T-section grooves for component attachment. The end members may be attached to the elongate members by screws, welding, brazing or adhesive. The housing elements may be of, e.g. aluminium a@@y. A fascia plate and a back plate may be screwedly attached, and electrical screening is maintained by the intervention of a conductive sealing cord over the abutment faces of the assembly, or by a projecting rim or lip thereof. |
