Zusammenfassung:	A miter saw (10) includes a base (11), a fence assembly (20) attached to the base (11), a table (12) rotatably attached to the base (11), a support housing (14) connected to the table (12), at least one rail (15) slidably connected to the support housing (14), a saw assembly pivotally attached to the at least one rail (15) and movable between a front position and a rear position, the saw assembly including a trunnion (16) disposed on the at least one rail (15), a pivot arm (17A) pivotally attached to the trunnion (16), an upper blade guard (17) connected to the pivot arm (17A), a motor (20) attached to the upper blade guard (17), and a blade (19) driven by the motor (20), wherein at least one of the trunnion (16), pivot arm (17A), upper blade guard (17), and motor (20) is disposed behind the blade (19) and contacts the fence assembly (20) when the saw assembly is beveled and moved towards the rear position.
