Zusammenfassung:1303919 Pyrimido-quinoxalines BAYER AG 9 July 1971 [11 July 1970] 32356/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds I: (in which R is H or a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical) are prepared by reacting compound II: with at least one molar equivalent of a compound R-NH 2 in a diluent, at a temperature of 20- 100‹ C. Compound II is prepared by reacting 2- ainino-3-cyanoquinoxaline-di-N-oxide with dimethylformamide in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. Compounds I have antimicrobial activity and are useful in human and veterinary medicine, and as fodder additives for growth promotion, and as disinfectants. Pharmaceutical compositions containing compounds I may be administered topically.
