Zusammenfassung:	The insulin derivatives have the general formula I in which X is an alkanoyl or cycloalkanoyl radical which has 2-10 C atoms and carries a sulpho group and which optionally also contains carboxamide, urethane, hydroxyl or carboxyl groups, and are prepared by reacting N< alpha (A1)>, N< epsilon (B29)>-ditert-butyloxycarbonylinsulin with an excess of an activated derivative of a carboxylic acid X-OH, and treating the reaction product with a strong acid.
