Zusammenfassung:Compns. (I) contg. II, acid addn., and quaternary ammonium salts of II: where R = H, -(CH2)2NEt2, -(CH2)2NMe2, -CHMeCH2NEt2, -CH2 CMe2 CH2 -CH2CMe2CH2NEt2, or -(CH2)2-O-(CH2)2NEt2. Treatment of cramp and ulcers. Atropine (4.4g.), K(1.2g), and PhMe (4.0 ml), were stirred and refluxed until all the K had gone. 2-phenylcyclohexene-3-carbonyl chloride (from 6.26 g. acid and 19 ml. SOCl2), in PhMe (30 ml.), were added, refluxed 12 hr., evapd. in vac., the residue extd. with d HCl, washed with Et2O, and basified. The mixture was then extd. with Et2O, dried, and distilled, giving the tropyl ester, b.p.168 deg./0.1 mm.
