N-(2-tetrahydrofuryl)-methylphtalimid til anvendelse som mellemprodukt ved fremstilling af 2-aminomethylpyrrolidiner

Heading C2C. 2 - Aminoalkylpyrrolidines of the formula in which R 1 represents an alkylene radical and R 2 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group, are prepared by hydrolysing the novel phthalimido derivatives of the formula preferably in the presence of an acid or base. The N-pyrrolidinylalkylphthalimides are prepared by reacting a haloalkyltetrahydrofuran of the formula where X 1 is halogen, with an alkali metal salt of phthalimide to give the novel product of the formula which is reacted with a hydrogen halide or an alkali metal halide in the presence of an acid to obtain a dihaloalkylphthalide of the formula in which X 2 is halogen, which is condensed with an amine R 2 NH 2 to obtain the required pyrrolidine derivative. Examples relate to the preparation of compounds in which R 1 is methylene and R 2 is ethyl, allyl, propyl, isopropyl and butyl.
