Zusammenfassung:	The tachograph has buttons for function control and recall of recorded travel data, with at least one themoprinting head. The tachograph has a thermo-printing head, a transport roller, and the running mechanism driving these, arranged in a block shaped printing unit housing. When the printing system is in a functioning mode, the front surface of the housing is flush with the front surface of a front wall (1) of the tachograph (3). An input entry is provided in the printing unit housing for the supply of the recording material at the pressure gap between the thermo-pressure head and the transport roller. There is an outlet port for the guiding the recording material away from the pressure gap. A slit shaped outlet opening (26) of the port is located in the region of the cutting, between a front sided plane of an end face wall of the printing unit housing and a defining plane of the printing unit housing, standing orthogonally to the wall.
