Zusammenfassung:	A hatch cover 4 is swingable about a vertical axis 6 in relation to a hatch opening and, after unlocking, is first raised from the closed position by a supporting arm 5 and then swung about 6 to its open position. The supporting arm 5 extends beyond its pivot point 8 on a block 7 pivotable about axis 6 and its free end 9 is operatively connected, via a pin and slot connection, to one arm 10 of a two-armed guide link 12 which is pivoted at 11 on the block 7 and whose other arm 13 is articulated, via another pin and slot connection, to the cover. The cover, after the unlocking, is automatically raised by a compression spring, disposed coaxially with the axis 6 which acts to lower the end 9. From the open position of the cover, the free end 9 of the supporting arm is raised by an actuating means to lower the cover. The actuating means preferably comprises a rotatable disc which is provided with an actuating lever and whose cam track is engaged by a part projecting from the free end of the supporting arm.
