The invention relates to a plug (1) for an electrical device with at least two flat pin sockets (6) in which the plug (1) is out-of-round in cross section perpendicularly to the plug-in direction (r), with an axis of symmetry (x) passing through the largest dimension. To provide a plug for an electrical device which is characterized by a geometrically uncomplicated, stable and easily handled design, it is proposed that an axis of osculation (y) run transversely to the axis of symmetry (x) in such a way that the cross section above and below the axis of osculation (y) is bounded by a convex line of curvature (K1 and K2), where both lines of curvature (K1 and K2) are substantially in the shape of a section of a circle with different radii.
